The talk will cover the contributions of the Austrian-based company TTTech to make Ethernet a deterministic technology suitable for time-critical communication applications. The speaker will show how the first research efforts towards the goal of Deterministic Ethernet ended up in a wide range of products for a great number of use cases, including the Orion project for the next generation of human space exploration spacecrafts from NASA. An overview will also be given about current and future developments in Deterministic Ethernet, including actual joint projects with MDH.
