Description

The presentation will give an overview of the research I have been doing recently at the University of Bucharest and the Romanian Academy. The topics covered include AI, software testing, animation and simulation in different areas such as self-driving cars, IoT, Guided Fuzzing. I will also present some research ideas and planned future work, and perhaps initiate collaboration with the audience. If you have not visited our university or Bucharest yet, I will also show you why it is worth visiting us!

Ciprian Paduraru is currently an Associate professor at University of Bucharest and Machine Learning Researcher at Romanian Academy. He teaches courses such as Reinforcement Learning and Parallel Programming (CPU, GPU, Cloud). His research is currently focused on two areas: (a) safety of self-driving cars using computer vision techniques in the research projects of Romanian Academy and (b) automatic software testing in the research teams ATLAS and SASHA at the University of Bucharest. Within the two teams, Ciprian researches and publishes in the area of fuzzing and symbolic execution methods using classical AI, Deep Learning and more recently Reinforcement Learning methods. Ciprian has also worked in the game development industry for the last 16 years, focusing on implementing AI in top games. He is active in the simulation engine developers community and has worked and prototyped with several public or proprietary ones.
