Description

Joint forces for competence supply

Hans Hansson and Malin Rosqvist participated in the HSS conference in Kalmar, Sweden, June 28-29, and presented ther views on how academia and industry can join forces to improve cooperation and competence development. Hans and Malin are leading the PROMPT initiative, aiming at developing advanced level courses in software development for people in industry. Courses are developed in cooperation between Mälardalen University, Blekinge Institute of Technology, Chalmers, Gothenburg University, SICS and 35 companies. The challenge this large initiative is facing is to include industrial challenges into advanced level academic courses, all in a flexibel web based format tailored to fit an industrial audience.
