Gunnar Widforss, Senior Project Manager

Gunnar is Certified Project Manager (IPMA, International Project Management Association) and expert evaluator at the European Commission. Currently he coordinates the European ECSEL-project AIDOaRT.

Gunnar was research coordinator at currently the school of innovation, design and engineering (IDT former IDE) between 2005 and 2016. Between 2010 and 2016 he was head of RECO (Division of Research Coordination). 2006-2008 he was Regional Contact point for FP7. Among his main duties as research coordinator was to promote the participation in Horizon 2020, ECSEL and EUREKA and to coordinate the participation in the European Technology Platforms (ETP) and Public Private Partnerships (PPP). He was also Member of the Professional Development Working Group in the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) 2014-2017. Between 2017 and 2020 he coordinated the ECSEL project MegaM@Rt2. He is substitute head of division (NES) during first half of 2024.

Joined MDH 1999 as research officer in the central administration and the division of education and research (UFO). He was responsible for research related tasks at the university board and faculty board. Coordinator for the research administration and the administrative support to the boards of faculties, Deputy head of division 2002-2004, Substitute EU Liaison officer 2002, Substitute director of postgraduate studies 2004, Substitute head of division 2004-2005.
