Maryam Vahabi is currently a Senior Lecturer at MDU. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Porto in Portugal in 2016. Her primary research focuses on deterministic communication in industrial applications, wireless communication, and industrial IoT systems. She has industry experience, having worked as a scientist at ABB Corporate Research, where she led two projects involving both academic and industrial participants at national and international levels. Additionally, her research explores time-sensitive networking (TSN) and dominance-based MAC protocols for time-critical applications.
Teaching activities:
1- Data Communication in Network I, distance course (DVA120)
2- Data Communication in Network II, distance course (DVA224)
I am primarily focused on research in the following areas: Deterministic communication, wireless communication, Internet of Things (IoT), programmable networks, particularly in the realm of Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
